We understand that it's challenging to travel in the first weeks after baby arrives, so we offer Signature and Luxe Newborn Sessions in the comfort of your home. We'll bring along studio lighting, space heater, blankets, knit wraps and accessories to set up a "studio" in your bedroom. We can use a bare wall as a seamless backdrop for intimate family portraits, and/or incorporate meaningful settings within your home for added variety. Especially perfect for clients with sweet little nurseries that are camera ready.

Newborn photography is a delicate art, and we have years of experience in safely posing and handling babies. Your portrait session is only the start of creating your custom artwork. We carefully curate the best images from your session based on lighting, background, focus, pose, facial expressions, and overall appeal. One week after your session, you'll select your favorite images for editing. We pride ourselves on providing finished works of art. Unedited images are not provided. You are always welcome to order additional digital portraits from your proofing gallery.

Once you've finalized your favorites, we will artistically enhance each image in our signature style. As you’ll see in our Before & After Gallery, each image is tastefully edited into a unique work of art. For every minute we spend together, we spend hundreds more behind the scenes to make your final photos and overall experience truly exceptional.

Our team of photographers—possessing over fifteen years of experience—has cultivated a safe and comfortable environment for newborn photography. Utilizing established and proven posing techniques, we aim to capture these precious early moments while your baby is peacefully asleep. The safe handling and posing of infants is of paramount importance to our practice. We are cognizant of potential strain on a newborn's back, neck, and arms, and therefore avoid any poses that could compromise their well-being. Furthermore, we are committed to educating our clients on the critical importance of proper head support and other safety considerations for their child's comfort and security. For comprehensive information regarding newborn safety, we direct you to the Newborn Photographers International website. When selecting a newborn photographer, we strongly advise prioritizing experience and professional expertise over cost considerations.

COMFORT & SAFETY

To provide a safe and hygienic environment, we only use hypo-allergenic blankets and accessories, which are sanitized after every use. To help keep your baby comfortable, we utilize pillow stuffings for a solid fit. Our portable heater and sleep machine provide a soothing atmosphere which encourages a natural, deep sleep.

EASY ON THEIR EYES

Our lighting equipment utilizes a low-power flash with an extremely short duration of 1/63,000th of a second. This minimal flash is virtually imperceptible to the human eye and—with a power output less than that of natural daylight—will not disturb your infant. These are just some of the many techniques we've developed over the years that provide a safe and comfortable environment for your infant.

 

Once your baby is peacefully asleep, we can dedicate our expertise to capturing truly exceptional newborn portraits .

All Portrait Sessions include a select number of artistically edited images in high resolution. As professional newborn photographers , we take great pride in our craft. We do not release RAW unedited images, since they are not a finished product. You're always welcome to purchase additional digital portraits to download, share and print to your heart's content!

Part of our thorough editing process involves white-balance and exposure correction, recovery of lost highlights and shadows, and denoising.
